Darren Johnson was suspended by the Greens for transphobia so he's a good fit for the bigots in Labour.
I suspect he also like Labour values like genocide, anti-immigration racism, islamophobia, attacking the most vulnerable and always giving in to extreme wealth and power

There is death and wanton violence everywhere we look, there is unimaginable loss and fear, all thanks to a handful of men at the helm who have never had to answer for a single wrong.

At least 148 dead after reported strike on school, Iran says Iran has blamed the US and Israel for the strike; the US is looking into reports of the incident, while the IDF says it is

The mass murder of civilians in Gaza, the brazen attacks on hospitals and schools, without any accountability has created a new kind of warfare that should terrify and enrage all of us.

Just discovered another old friend from my raving days sharing made-up anti-Muslim statistics and saying Nigel Farage is too soft.

Christopher Harborne has cemented Reform’s status as a mo... New political donation rules won’t stop him giving as much as he likes

In the second half of 2025, one man accounted for almost 40% of all money donated to political parties in the UK: a crypto-billionaire who lives in Thailand.

Britain desperately needs to rewrite its party funding rules.

Absolutely insupportable. Labour have a massive majority. It’s a hugely popular issue. To fail to act would be a dereliction of historic proportions, and utterly inexplicable.

KFC, Nando's, and others ditch chicken welfare pledge as demand soars Wingstop, Burger King, and others have walked away from an industry commitment to avoid using fast-growing chickens

Alternatives to fried chicken:
- pakoras
- falafel
- accra
- schnitzel

... to name but a few.

Can we make any of those 'happen' instead?

As we hurtle towards international women's day and the usual articles about women chefs will be dutifully rolled out, I want to flag up something. There are many Gujarati restaurants with all-female teams of mostly older women, diligently cooking their family's recipes, that go largely unheralded.

Publishers assume that people only want 'quick and easy' recipes, but what if you want to cook long or slow as kitchen therapy or weekend project. Like ratatouille with all the vegetables cooked separately, or trahana made from scratch. Where are the cookbooks for that.

My opinion is that good souvlaki has to be pork, the meat cut in cubes by hand, should be small pieces to cook quickly and crisp up nicely, be cooked on charcoal, and served with lots of oregano and lemon juice.

A post by that dickhead Robert Peston reads The final report of the Water Commission includes this calculation: "We estimate that over Β£85 billion has been extracted from the English water system by shareholders and affiliated parties since privatisation." Given the parlous, creaking, under-invested condition of Britain's water industry, this was egregious pillaging by shareholders that was licensed by successive governments and the regulator. As the report says, company executives and boards, regulators, ministers, all were to blame. It summarises: "this Β£85 billion represents a direct transfer of value from the public to private owners β€” a sum extracted while storm overflows proliferated, leakage targets were missed, and river health declined.".

From what I’ve been told by several human briefcases, it’s not economically viable to nationalise the water industry
