Sorry to hijack your post, I appreciate you sharing your thoughts. struck a chord with me & I felt compelled to spill some inner thoughts. I know blockers is 'wrong' in the minds of many, but many of those folk who haven't ever grappled with body/gender dysphoria. But it's an inhumane way to think.
That hope seems dim these days, it's quite a gloomy outlook right now and more transfolk will suffer, transfolk are humanfolk, we're all the same, just some of us suffer simply for being? Seems fucked up to me. Seems cruel and wrong.
And for those people, who were taught shame and fear, who suppressed who they were, for those transfolk who never got to be themselves... That's the saddest thing. Even myself coming out at 37, I think about how different things could've been for me and the hope there is for future transfolk..
Some of us supress it through social pressure, some of us desperately hide it, some of us are riddled in shame, some of us went years feeling like complete freaks inside, unable to speak out about it. Desperately nervous, self-denial, but deepdown it's there as the years roll on, it doesn't leave
I know its contreversial, I know there's risks and that's why we need more healthcare pro's on this. Trans kids and adults aren't going anywhere, none of us choose it, it just is us. Some of us find out early on, some of us live fulfilled and live inwardly & outwardly our gender, our being, ourself
It makes me want to cry to think about how different life could be if there was more acceptance, understanding and support for transfolk, even at the child age. If those kids don't have to suffer for years, untangling everything and staying in hiding, it's worth exploring. I have words to say..
