like i'd look past so much of the weird shit because waow yuna, rikku and payne... my 3 girlfriends and yes they change class midway through battle in a magical girl transformation.

ffx-2 is such a bizarre game in so many respects as a sequel to ffx and story-wise in GENERAL, and the dress-sphere designs are very objectifying... but all the party members were women and i thought they were pretty and the gameplay was so fun so my lesbian-in-denial teenage self was living for it.

i love sister zdena of pentiment fame. she shouldn't have been in that convent. she should have been at the club.

missing the human-to-human interaction rather than just likes or whatever makes sense! but some people genuinely sound like the comedians who say bullshit "BACK IN MY DAY HUMOR WAS LEGAL!!!!" bc someone told them their jokes were really bigoted but like. this time it's about defending racist fanart.

i complain about this over and over again bc it keeps making the rounds on places like twitter and tumblr but oh my god people were incredibly mean and over even more petty bullshit. people would start trying to find workplaces for liking a rival nothingburger het ship. be serious.

see: how a lot of people for some reason think that talking about racism/misogyny/transphobia/lesbophobia/ableism/etc etc in fandom is "divisive" and bad and "causing drama" like... you live in a society and thus society's ills will permeate into your hobby. people SHOULD discuss it.

i think that many people don't realize that when they're going on and on about how people don't follow "fandom etiquette," they are often implicitly complaining about how the demographics in fandoms have become less homogeneous and now new opinions/perspectives have been introduced to the space. 🧍

tbh at this point the people talking about how much better "old fandom" was sound like they are verging into a deeply unserious version of nationalist mythmaking but for like. media consumption.

had a dream that for some reason ended with me and my family going to a linkin park themed restaurant and they assumed i'd be paying for everything. the hideously overpriced menu featured something called the "hybrid thingy" and i never found out what that was.
