I was thinking about the manga that has stuck with me the most, and I have settled on these four. My taste, other than Mushishi, seems to be "incredibly bleak indictments on the human condition." What are your favorite manga? Which have narratives you can't ever seem to get out of your head?
Thank you!! π₯Ή
Π‘ΠΈΠ²ΠΊΠΎ-Π±ΡΡΠΊΠΎ / Sivko-Burko, the fiery horse that will meet you at your fatherβs grave
thank you! traditionally Sivko-Burko is usually smoky white, so I think I will probably go with that color, yes :) as for drawing horses, I just referenced a bunch of photos! tried to capture the movement and shapes it was made up of, and then look at close up pics for details on muscles.
thank you Eliot!! π
I feel like the forced AI overview and AI writing prompts every second running in the bg when youβre writing an email makes the Gmail app so weighty that itβs constantly force closing. Iβve never had an issue with writing an email on my phone until now. Has anyone else noticed this

Out of date anatomically in terms of what we know about dinosaurs now, but Wayne Barloweβs paleoart was incredible to me as a kid, it spurred my imagination like nothing else. The colors are so striking on each of these pieces, they hold such a primal mood.

An illustrated cover for a short comic called The Hearth by lainey williams. A cabin sits in a clearing in a snowy forest. The small windows in the log cabin are lit yellow and there is a trail of blood through the snow leading to the door. Smoke rises from the cabinβs chimney to surround the title. On either side of the smoke are illustrations in the style of Karelian embroidery, showing stylized geometric patterns in red thread. On the left side embroidery section, there is a depiction of a woman kneeling. her hands are stained red and she wears a headscarf. Opposite her is a woman standing. Instead of a left arm she has a wing. Over the top of the image, two geese shaded in red fly over the cabin and smoke. The trees all around the cabin are shaded in dark blue.

A sapphic horror comic about witchcraft and hunger in the dead of winter.
honestly would believe this
I would say most people probably by default eat a lot of protein, right? at least in the Western world, a ton of meat is eaten by the average person annually, way more than a century ago.
