there were many, *many* things just off with the skin that i felt the need to fix whilst adding some niceties that don't distract from the skin at all
if you know how to activate the llama easter egg in the beat visualizer, you know how to trigger the easter eggs hidden in the songticker

i'd argue i'm cooler because i dont use whatever crap llama group has put out (aka older winamp versions or wacup)
wacup is closed source, select plugins are open source however
the first thing might be what i'm seeing, i'd need to actually sit down and actively try to do things with it

though i run wacup through wine without any managers to ymmv

2.x/5.x classic skins are easier to reimplement than 3/5.x modern skins
use 5.666 or give wacup a shot
gimp is so unbelievably bad that exporting an image i spent a good bit on exports it incorrectly, it does not look like at all what im seeing in the gimp editor, photoshop killer my ass

5.666 is the version before AOL sold off Nullsoft and related brand and IPs to Winamp Group (yes, really.), anything after is just crap put out by them

i cant comment on running stuff through bottles or similar since i felt that more complicates matters for me, of course workflows differ from one person to another
since from what i understand, the graphics stuff existed in a different dll and dro had to piece together what exists from winamp3 sdks, but that's my speculation and not anything confirmed, i'm just a user and a shill lol (modern skins suck, it's a trend)

modern skins and wine + xwayland is a not so great combo, could also have something to do with gen_ff running in not-winamp (cont)
what were the issues?
i'm using it via wine as well (pure wine with stuff installed via winetricks) and i never really ran into any problems (granted, i dont use stuff like the media library so ymmv)
