I’d call this Orwellian but it would be insulting to Orwell.

I feel like I’ve been seeing increasing deflation of pricing on happy hour menus and even cocktail prices around Brooklyn. I’m not sure if this is a recession indicator or just normal competition, but it’s welcome either way.

She can win. Trump loses the independent support he had in 2016/2024 in 2028 (as he did in 2020). A GOP candidate as his surrogate will be weak. @aoc.bsky.social can mobilize independents and legions of first-time voters. She symbolizes the working class and immigrants - who the GOP are losing hard.

I think he would certainly put in one of his failsons over Ivanka, despite that she’s clearly the most competent and the favorite. She is Siobhan Roy, and Don Jr. is the Eldest Boy.

The point is that the Democrats need to put maximum pressure on the Executive, and on the Republicans in congress, to make meaningful changes. These five ideas are weak, meaningless and do nothing to change the status quo. The GOP is willing to play hardball. Shutdown first, then negotiate.

Opinion | America Still Has a Political Center, and It’s the Key to Winning

The NYT is just trolling establishment dems into losing politics at this point.

This entire article reads like β€œplease run a conservative under the Democratic Party banner so that our friends don’t think we’re *actual* Republicans”

I’ve been wondering the same. Duplication in medium-large codebases is difficult to detect with traditional linting and AST-based tooling, as the implementations typically differ ever so slightly. AI certainly introduces duplication when generating code, but multi-agent systems may help?

Los Angeles man demands answers after wife was detained at scheduled green card meeting A man is speaking out and asking for help after his wife was detained by federal agents at the end of a scheduled green card hearing in downtown Los Angeles in early September.

The proper headline for this is β€œUS woman forcibly abducted by Federal Agents in front of husband and lawyer.”
