Perhaps my worst local opinion: I don't mind the look of City Center, and it can look pretty good from the north during golden hour taking on a warm tone from the sun πΆβπ«οΈ

like getting five or six little 30-minute snippets of a story every 1.5-2 years loses my attention, sorry!
we need to bring back 25 episode seasons with 40-45 min episode lengths
I spent my day biking around south Minneapolis, buying little treats, and hunting through record stores. Took some photos that didn't turn out. Amazing the life that weather breaking 50Β°F breathes into you!
I've had a copy of St Lucia's Hyperion sitting around since their show in Dinkytown a few years ago, and now I'm reliving that night
bought myself a turntable and proper stereo equipment, and oh my god have spent the last 24 hours melted into the couch experiencing my favorite albums for the first time again
The pro-faregate crowd forgets one big tradeoff we get from the relative cheap construction costs of at-grade rail: the stations are usually so squished in their surroundings that ADA, fire code, emergency egress, and peak hour/special event capacity problems totally rule out faregates.
After this moment in time I had to start correcting people that my name is "Jed" not "Jeb," rarely got that mix-up before "Jeb" was exposed so widely.
Wide angle shot of Downtown Minneapolis showing protesters filling the entirety of 3rd St from 2nd Street to Hennepin Avenue, turning and continuing until 6th Street. The sky is clear and it is sunny.
Overhead photo showing protesters marching south on Hennepin Avenue, turning on 6th Avenue, and ending in a large assembly outside of the Target Center on 1st Avenue. The sky is a cold blue with big plumes of steam rising from building exhaust stacks.
Pretty powerful seeing Minneapolis show up against state violence and fascism today. After marching, went to a friend's building to warm up. We looked down from the roof, and this was the crowd an hour in. It kept going a solid hour plus after!
50,000 Minnesotans marched in below zero weather because we know that we all do better when we all do better. The fascists have already lost, they just donβt realize it yet. β #VetsAgainstTrump #AbolishICE #Minneapolis
Terminal 2 at DCA rocks. Terminal 1 makes Midway look like a palace.
$15 for the 72-hour CTA pass is such a steal. Like I got two airport trips, a half dozen or so round trips a day, and service after 2am for all that? That's like *one* Uber ride
Ugh the books didn't make me cry, how did a full 4 of 6 episodes leave me weeping π
the bliss of working out in a nearly empty gym, one of the best things about holidays π§πΌββοΈ
Screaming at my television about Heated Rivalry episode 4, such a dramatic adaptation of the book! There's plot too!
albums setting the cold day vibes well: Heaven or Las Vegas, Talkie Walkie, and The Richest Man in Babylon
Rain! in the Crystal Court
I was having so much fun doing E Line outreach today that I forgot to take some opening day photos π
oh my god the TV version of Scott & Kip is SOOOO GOOD.
If you're paying for an ad-free streaming service, there should be a setting to let you automatically skip the promos they insert between episodes. Those are ads too!
imo the ones with the crosses are like 4x as likely to be up to DL stuff
this Monday at the gym: every gay stopping to yap about Heated Rivalry
man we really made the jump from light jacket > puffer coat > full parka weather fast
like, kinda wild we have a Sid/Ovi fanfic on HBO
this thanksgiving I am thankful for Rachel Reid and Jacob Tierney
recipe I haven't touched in a year says onions will caramelize in 15 minutes...lol
the number of times I've gone to a DJ set in Minneapolis that bills as house/tech house and ends up being electronic pop remixes...too high!
Kinda don't like when live shows on streaming services like sports have empty, silent ad breaks. Like, why is my home suddenly quiet! I'll take the ads instead.
should I change my display name to "37 across" for the day, or is that a little too niche?
Reading romance novels, weightlifting, spin and yoga classes. Good brain off time.
