Jeremy Allen White better have practiced his Huttese. The takeaway here is that Jabba knocked up a Hutt woman, and that’s something I have to know about, so he better have put in the work

For instance, she could have said, “I do not accept the endorsement of a war criminal” and gotten Obama-level votes. Or perhaps not. But saying nothing was also an option! But she went on tour with the Cheneys instead.

If the electorate is that dumb, perhaps that’s another good reason not to confuse people about which party you’re leading. Or I guess you can try to make them to do math problems. But you’re going to have to pick one, here

I mean beyond all of the loathsome obvious shit about allllll of this, the director of the fucking INSIDE fucking OUT movies saying “We’re making a movie, not hundreds of millions of dollars of therapy" is a level of self-unawareness I can only marvel at

every time I see a mention of this new character the “voiced by Jeremy Allen White” part lands as the most hilarious punchline to me. It’s just funny

You’ll know you’ve fixed your brain and joined real civilization when you react to the idea that pre-1970s acting and filmmaking is Bad with revulsion. Remember John Oliver joking that Jimmy Stewart was a bad actor, because people weren’t good at acting back then? Mind prison!!

Any old *Good* movies must be the ones with some famous prestige, which makes them sound like homework to people. Watch as many old movies as you can to break yourself of this mentality, imo

Not ragging on this post or the poster at all, because hell yeah to this movie and people watching it. But for most people watching old movies seems premised on the idea that movies are better now and most old movies are bad. Especially nowadays, that’s even more absurd than before, frankly.

Found myself randomly stopping at a clip of Jim Carrey in The Mask. I saw that in theaters, I’m fairly sure we had the tape in the house later on. Five minutes of it felt very, very long. That Arrow 4K sold like hotcakes, but folks, it’s ok to let things go sometimes. It really is.

Got it. I'm sorry for your loss. To clarify: You want a eulogy for your father that's 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲, sounds 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁, and captures the 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗶𝗺. I get it. He wasn't just your father — he was your Dad. Here a few options I came up with:
