Flyer advertising "Association of Neuropsychology Students in Training
Pulse Check for January" The Association of Neuropsychology Students and Trainees logo is transparent and located at the top right of the flyer. ANST logo is a picture of a brain over the Greek letter Psi with the abbreviations SCN and ANST on the left and right, respectively of the brain. Below the title, is a question from the survey: Thinking about the past month, how...1. much have you typically enjoyed your professional work? 2. meaningful and fulfilling has your professional work generally felt to you? 3. overwhelmed have you generally felt by the demands of your professional work? 4. emotionally exhausted have you generally felt by your professional work. A graph depicting the results is presented to the right of the question and contains a legend giving an intensity scale where 1 is not at all and 7 is extremely, with blue (Enjoyment, 5.2), green (Meaning, 5.3), yellow(Overwhelmed, 5.0), and red (Exhaustion, 4.8) bars.

Below this, it states: Thanks so much to the 64 of you who weighed in on our recent community pulse check! With scores for work enjoyment and meaning hitting above 5 out of 7, it’s obvious that the passion for the field is still there. However, January seems to have been a time where we are definitely feeling stress from applications, interviews, and the match during this past month. Essentially, we’re finding our work deeply meaningful, but we’re also running pretty close to empty to get it done. Hopefully, as we move past such a busy time of year, there will be more space to prioritize self-care and a return to more relaxing times.

Flyer advertising two poster presentations to attend.

At the top, states: "Wednesday, February 4th from 3:00 - 4:15pm" over a pink background. Beneath this states: "Poster Session 01: Cognitive Neuroscience and Neurotechnology (Franklin Hall B Level 4)" over a blue background. To the right of this is a graphic of an individual presenting a poster with various colored (orange, green, and blue) graphs and figures. To the right of this graphic states, "For those attending the 54th International Neuropsychology Society Meeting from February 4 through February 7, 2026 in Philadelphia, PA, be sure to check out these presentations from ANST trainees!" over transparent green background.

Information about the presentations is shown over brown boxes. One box contains, "Xanthia Saganis (P1-01) will be presenting findings from a preliminary study involving 1l undergraduate students that found while general stress did not significantly correlate with cognitive performance, higher financial concern was significantly associated with diminished executive function, specifically regarding interference control and accuracy. Researchers concluded that financial stress is a key risk factor for cognitive detriment in early college students." The other brown box contains: "During the same poster session, check out Sreenath Panchagnula's presentation (P1-49). As artificial intelligence (Al) becomes increasingly ubiquitous in healthcare, clinical neuropsychologists should consider using Al to score neuropsychological assessments. Benefits include obtaining more useful clinical data to aid in diagnosis, increased scoring accuracy, and faster assessment scoring. Considerations include model optimization, informed consent, data security and privacy, model biases, and equity concerns."

In between the boxes is the ANST logo: ANST logo is a picture of a brain over the Greek letter Psi with the abbreviations SCN and ANST on the left and right, respectively of the brain.

Pink flyer. ANST full name and logo at the top.

Features Guest Speaker: Joel E. Kamper, Ph.D., ABPP-CN, with headshot over yellow and blue boxes. Bio in pink box: Joel E. Kamper, Ph.D, ABPP-CN, is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist and the training director for the Neuropsychology Postdoctoral Fellowship program at the Tampa VA. In addition to his clinical and administrative roles, Dr. Kamper has a passion for teaching and training and serves on the boards of several neuropsychological and training organizations. This interest extends to helping students and candidates prepare for board exams, and he retains a curious affinity for doing fact-findings. Other professional roles include longstanding involvement in licensure and EPPP development through ASPPB. While working in a rat lab in grad school, Dr. Kamper was in a cover band with his labmates and played on the ‘lucrative’ scientific conferences circuit. He continues to enjoy playing music, as well as competitive sailing.
