Two social media posts.

The first is from Keir Starmer and reads: β€œThe UK has long supported a transition of power in Venezuela. We regarded Maduro as an illegitimate President and we shed no tears about the end of his regime. I reiterated my support for international law this morning. The UK government will discuss the evolving situation with US counterparts in the days ahead as we seek a safe and peaceful transition to a legitimate government that reflects the will of the Venezuelan people.”

Below it is a post from Ed Davey that reads: β€œThis cop out isn’t good enough. Standing up for international law means condemning leaders when they break it, whether that’s Vladimir Putin or Donald Trump.”

Disappointing most councillors abstained. Disabled residents deserve better. We will keep fighting for #AccessibilityForAll

Good turnout for the Beckenham Police Meeting last night. Lots discussed and some great police ops reducing crime. One key message: don’t share photos or comments online (Facebook) about a suspected offender as this can prejudice a future court case so the CPS won’t prosecute.

Well done Beckenham Green Friends. Chloe-Jane set up the Friends Group some years ago and it’s gone from strength to strength thanks to the amazing volunteers.

Yes it was wet and a bit windy but a good day spent hosting a surgery and out and about canvassing. Lots of casework picked up. Uneven paths, littering and rights of way access.

We continue to oppose the Conservatives plan to charge Blue Badge Holders in Council parks. At full Council last night we asked them listen to disability groups and Blue Badge holders to understand the impact these charges will have. Let’s hope they have a change of heart.

White Ribbon UK Our mission is to end men's violence against women, once and for all. We work with men and boys to challenge cultures that lead to harassment, abuse and violence.

Councils across the country have White Ribbon accreditation to end violence against women and girls. Bromley Council will not be one of them - Conservative Councillors voted against it last night. Lib Dem, Labour & CM voted for White Ribbon. Thanks Labour for council motion. www.whiteribbon.org.uk

Years of economic mismanagement, rising costs and insufficient support have left local businesses struggling.

The government must scrap the National Insurance hike on small businesses to save these community backbones.
