You in another decade.
One of Doctor Who's more naff looking monsters, a hairy beast with a papier-mΓ’chΓ© face and ridiculously big fangs sits on a tree stump looking rather sad.
The world's going to go boom before I see "Fury From The Deep", isn't it...
Oooooh, I should think so, certainly! Lovely Cyberman photo there - thank you! ππ
Ah, you gotta keep an eye on the BFI website, especially when a release has been announced. The next one will he the TV Movie, possibly in May.
Huge improvement. It's not Jurassic Park levels of cgi, but that wouldn't fit in with an 80s television production. It's so much better.
Every time I see this evil bitch, I see Twiki from Buck Rogers...

Woah... Hardy Drew And The Nancy Boys... that's a blast from the very distant past! God bless YouTube and the things you find on there....
Photoshopped art for the 2008 Doctor Who story "The Fires Of Pompeii" The main character is the 10th Doctor played by David Tennant, positioned centrally, and looking alarmed. Below him are characters from the story, including companion Donna Noble (Catherine Tate). Behind the Doctor an erupting volcano towers over the streets of ancient Pompeii, and amid the smoke and lave, an image of a huge stone creature - a Pyrovile - is pictures, as if suggesting it is rising from the depths of Vesuvius.
New art - one of my favourite 10th Doctor tales...
That's the old Myka...!
I'd be more impressed if you could do the new Myka's tongue thing...
Me too!
Very good!! π
I really want to see the new Myrka in action again...!
That's a lovely thing to say to them, but why would that be the last time??
Did you not get tickets, or did you not know about it?
Perhaps you should get back into attending these events and meeting like-minded people again - we all seem to have that loner vibe but once you start mixing with people, they're actually quite welcoming. I speak from experience..!
Cheers, Paul - the book was signed by Janet, Sarah and Peter, and only Janet commented she hadn't seen it before, as she flicked through it. She lamented that she and Sarah weren't on the cover with Peter..!
The updated Warriors was great fun - I'll be sticking with that version whenever I watch it!
Thank you, Si - I'm often sporting a big cheesy grin when I meet the celebs! I'm so awkward! Lol
Always lovely to see you and the gang again - alas I won't be there for the next one.
The updated version moves along at a much snappier pace, the Myrka looks awesome, some of the more awkward bits have been taken out and there's one moment... well, I won't spoil it but it had the audience, cheering, laughing and punching the air!
The first day of March in my calendar features Doctor Who plant monster the Krynoid in its humanoid form and also it's giant fully sized version, with tentacles lashing out at the large country house it is attacking.
New month = new monster.
Clocks go forward in just a few weeks!
A photoshopped montage for the 1984 Doctor Who story "Warriors Of The Deep" featuring the Silurians and Sea Devils with the Myrka in the background, all in and undersea background. They dominate Sea Base Four below them, on the sea bed where the story takes place. This artwork appears in the Celestial Toyroom 2026 Annual.
Gotta say, the new special edition of "Warriors Of The Deep" is likely going to be the version I'll always watch from now on - well done to everyone involved in it's making! The much maligned Myrka was such an improvement..! πππ

Another brilliant day at the BFI, had the most fun I've ever had watching "Warriors Of The Deep", meeting the stars of early 80s Doctor Who and of course hanging out with the most wonderful, loveliest people. A great day out indeed! Xx
Are they pricey too then?
Yeah, they're not but they do look fantastic, they're pretty well detailed and they often come with lots of extra pieces.
Probably just the mutant, I don't think she could copy non-organic materials...
I didn't finish it... it got kind of annoying
