Fresh spin. π 504 yds of fingering weight spun from Malabrigo Cloud. So very soft!
I love making rolags!
Thanks! It's
Deep Winter Shawl by Lisa Metzgar on Ravelry easy, adaptable, and interesting.
I love knitting my handspun into something snuggly. #handspinning #fibercrafts #knitting
I gave up trying to learn on a drop spindle and bought a double treadle castle wheel, and started spinning easily. After a year or so on the wheel, I can now do drop or supported spindles as well because drafting is muscle memory.
DIY ceramic whorl support spindle. #handspinning #ilovecrafts #spindlespinning
I have that sitting in my Amazon cart. Is it amazing?
Finished spin. 431 yds of 2 ply fingering Debouillet/Silk blend.
It's beautiful!
Going for a spin. Loving this Debouillet/Silk roving.
It's my favorite!π
Finished this sparkly spin yesterday. Silk and fine Merino plyed with glitter thread. Going to make such a pretty fade shawl. #handspinning #handspunyarn
Thank you!
Thanks!
We were camping in Manzanita when the one hit the Oregon Coast there. It was the craziest thing I have ever seen. Hoping we don't get the huge hail in Hillsboro, but we're prepared. Be safe!
It's very addictive! I started spinning on an E-spinner, then bought a Kromski wheel. Now I have added two drop spindles, a support spindle, and a drum carder to the mix. Love it.
Looks great! I plan on doing this, too. Want to prep using my blending board then run it through my drum carder with some undyed merino.
Hot off the needles and had to wear it. The Faith Cowl by Rose Williams. Knit up in Juniper Moon Farms Cumulus Rainbow. Snuggly.

Looks great! I just started using a supported spindle a few days ago and am loving it.
Practice run of learning to use a supported spindle went pretty well, but man, switching to a better fiber made a world of difference!

Lovely!
I like to use multiple skeins of fingering to make marled or fade shawls and wraps, hats, or fingerless handwarmers. Great way to use them and end up with unique treasures.
I just can't! LOL I've curated an incredible stash, all logged on Ravelry, so now I "shop" my stash using Ravelry when it's time to cast on a new project.
Yay for knitting and Reacher. Looks lovely!
A poster for the economic blackout on February 28. It is a big red Jack rabbit on an aqua blue back ground. It says economic blackout in hand done black type. There are two black speech bubbles. One says βdonβt buy stuff Friday February 28th. The other says we have power. Below it says No Amazon, Walmart, target, gas food, gas. Below that it says OK small business, use cash. Designed by Martha Rich.
I made this the other night while procrastinating, mainly because I thought all the posts about the blackout were boring. It feels like there is momentum bringing people together!
Happy Birthday!!!
I love knitting, dyeing, and spinning, but yes, there is something magical and healing about the art of spinning. Lovely yarn!
Lovely colors and spinning.
As my grandpa would have said "I didn't know they could stack shit that high!"
