No. It wouldn’t have even if Harris had been successful, but Israel would be less likely to have pushed maximalist action, & less likely to attack Iran.

The very point that the vote was immaterial to the genocide is what makes using it to decide an expressive act of aesthetics.

We give up maximalist interpretations of rights all the time in order to serve the greater good. I give up my right to freedom of movement when I stop at a stop sign; I give up my right to free speech by not yelling “Fire!” in a crowded theater.

They prioritized voting as an expression of aesthetics, and the argument it was Harris’s fault relies on granting the assumption that voters must act that way. It’s an internalization of consumer capitalism as a totalitarian ideology.
