Due to PLA happening on the next scheduled GC day of April 2, we will postpone the chat until APRIL 9! Of course, I'll send reminders beforehand. Also happens I received a jury summons for April 2. #ewgc

I'll let John know. He is very proud of this cover. :-)
I just got the ARC of this. Love this author. #ewgc
@ssedlib.bsky.social Just wanted you guys to know how much I am loving David Archuleta's memoir, DEVOUT. It is surprisingly candid and soul-baring. It will for sure be at the top of my best-of-the-year list.
It's been a few years since we've had a new book by Jane Green, so I was excited to see she has a new book coming out in September, THE MANY PRIVATE LIVES OF MISSY COOKE. #ewgc
When we are in Las Vegas, my favorite drink is a vodka/7 with cran, or even a cosmo. YUM! #ewgc
I loved David Ellis's twisting thriller, LOOK CLOSER, and saw he has a new book coming in June, KEEP THEM CLOSE. It's high on my TBR list along with Linwood Barclay's next book, NOT A WORD, coming in August. #ewgc
SINGLE GIRLS by John Searles (July) is a novel about the world of Helen Gurley Brown and how she developed Cosmopolitan, written by a man who has worked for Cosmopolitan for years. #ewgc
So here me out on this. ENTER THE VILLA by Anna Peele is a revealing look at life on the Love Island reality show. Yes, sad to say I was addicted to this series & want to read this. However, this could be a good readalike for those who read COMPOUND that involves a Love Island-type show. #ewgc
Another I'm eager to read is Christina Baker Kline's THE FOURSOME (May), a historical novel based on the author's distant relatives, featuring Chang and Eng and their marriages. #ewgc
Kelly Rimmer's THE STORY KEEPER (July) has one of my favorite tropes in a gothic novel: A young woman returns to a family manse and tries to solve an age-old secret. Sounds perfect for us Kate Morton fans. #ewgc
Willy Vlautin's THE LEFT AND THE LUCKY (April) is an amazing novel full of Willy's superb writing that gets right to the heart of the characters' personalities and issues. A complex book that resonates with anyone who has (or has known anyone) had a tough time with life. #ewgc
I'm busy getting ready for a garage sale, so I don't have much time to post, but I will list the books (with covers) I'm eager to read, or have read. First up, CLEANUP ON AISLE FIVE Ann Larson (June) was fantastic and a book everyone who shops in a grocery store should read. #ewgc
I was just thinking the same thing #ewgc
Well, I have to get back to my garage sale work. I'll be back for the chat if I finish. We changed the date for the April chat to April 9 as PLA happens on April 2, plus I have jury duty (maybe). Have fun! #ewgc
I won't be staying long as we're having a garage sale tomorrow and I need to get back out and price, plus get ads ready. I timed some posts to go out and will rejoin if I finish. I'm already exhausted. Good times. #ewgc
Hello! Anyone here for virtual happy hour? #ewgc
Envious! That is one of the few books where I remember most of the plot. I shoved that into the hands of patrons for years.
It's almost the end of today's chat. See you all next month and Happy Valentine's Day! #ewgc
Our next chat will be four weeks from today, March 5, so mark your calendar! Of course, I'll send a reminder a few days before the date. #ewgc
I am so pleased to see today's turnout for #ewgc and also happy that Bluesky is behaving better than it did last month! Also, if you're not on my notification email list, email me at galleychatter at gmail dot com and I'll add you to the list. #ewgc
I don't mean to be a tease, but Louise Penny's next Gamache, MISS WOLCOTT'S GHOST, is coming in October 2026. NO DRC yet, but it is listed on Edelweiss. #ewgc
Curious to see if anyone remembers Marlys Millhiser's THE MIRROR and compares the two. #ewgc
Willy Vlautin writes another riveting novel that will stomp on your heart, then mend it a few pages later. (April). #ewgc @librarylovefest.bsky.social
The DELIVERY by Gregg Hurtwitz is a novella about the perils of AI. Be careful what you wish for. This futuristic terror novella will smack you in the face and make you worry about the future of AI and what it could do. It's a quick and compelling story. #NetGalley #ewgc #THEDELIVERY
My first entry is CLEANUP ON AISLE FIVE by Ann Larson (June), where she delves into what it's like to work in a busy grocery store. Well-written and fascinating, I will never, ever, argue or get mad at a cashier again, even after my disastrous self-check-out experience this morning. #ewgc
I'm sorry to say I have to miss #ewgc again, as we're in Tucson for an appointment. I have a couple of titles to submit, so stay tuned. Fingers crossed Bluesky behaves today!
GalleyChatters for #ewgc - Please repost this. Just keeping posting your titles and Jill will check later for compilation purposes. Hopefully, it will bust loose soon.
According to what I saw, it's about 3 hours behind in searching. I posted an update and asked everyone to RT. And I would add to just keep posting and then later check the tag and compile.
I'm also eager to read John Searles's next book, SINGLE GIRLS (July), based on the early career of Helen Gurley Brown. Searles should know his stuff since he's been with Cosmo for a long time. #ewgc
