I love when fans take a sand blaster to an interesting character for shits and giggles and low-hanging memes and then THAT BECOMES THEIR ACTUAL PERSONALITY THE NEXT TIME THEY APPEAR

Wrathion is the only character whose trauma not only isn't taken seriously but is played for LAUGHS. I just read 300 pages of hand wringing about the emotional states of two soldiers who once tortured and mind r*ped civilians but that same book can't be sympathetic to Wrathion for five seconds

Yeah when you ship a man and a woman together in WoW it barely even counts as shipping, that’s just how WoW’s universe works, it’s entropy

The line about Wrathion hit me like a truck. Every day that passes I regret defending that short story more, I am such a naive idiot

Anyway thank goodness the people who work on WoW stay away from fanfic, otherwise fan ideas would run the danger of seeping back into the story or something

I thought this was supposed to be an intimate gathering of people Turalyon and Alleria have meaningful connections with, not a state affair like Lor’themar and Thalyssra’s. Why is Tess here other than a quiet excuse to put her on Anduin’s arm, never mind Mia.

It’s SUCH a minor quibble but I’d forgotten about the slight dig at Wrathion in the beginning of the book and reading that again dried up my good will. And I am currently up to my eyeballs drowning in self indulgent wedding fanfic.

Anduin and Tess can share a portal to a wedding in Blood Ties with Mia and Velen as their chaperones but we can’t have Wrathion in the Arcantina lest he be at risk of breathing the same air as Anduin again mmm-kay I see Bl*zz is not exactly beating the favoritism allegations with this one

Wow I should have gotten at least a nomination for a nobel peace prize for this post

Part of me wonders if it would’ve been better to commit to a bittersweet ending where Benedict was disowned and he and Sophie lived a quiet life together in the country. I appreciate the fluff but it did feel like they chickened out to some extent

I really love that Benedict fell in love with Sophie twice, once as the Silver Lady and once as herself. And that he basically committed to loosing everything for her, he grew up and took responsibility for that choice, before the crazy happy ending, that was important
