Two pages of a mini-zine. Page 1 says, 1. The right outfit. My style in college was "aggressively comfortable," so I was actually concerned less with looking like an English major and more with showing that I was a college student. Photo of Christine wearing a Gonzaga hoodie with the caption, This picture is pretty recent, but A, it's the correct college on the hoodie, and B, I'm in a hotel room a few steps from the school! Page 2 says, 2. Take a book everywhere. And it has to be something impressive, or at least edgy. Two illustrations of If on a winter's night a traveler by Italo Calvino and Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk. Also, the book had to be purchased from Barnes & Noble or Borders. English majors invest in their craft. Footnote: I started college in 2008, three years before Borders went under in the U.S.
