Though I do wonder if Spotify puts its thumb on the scales, cause Charli and Childish Gambino made my top 5 despite listening to their albums twice, meanwhile Donna Missal and Okkervil got at least half a dozen album marathons.
My Spotify wrapped was like
“You listened to so much on leap day, what were you doing?” (Mushrooms)
“You were the top listener for Dressler Parsons, wow” (she’s my girlfriend)
“I guess Chappel Roan?” (what I listened to on subways while visiting my girlfriend)
Not good. It kind of rushes the Christmas movie beats, pads the time they saved with dance numbers that rarely have stakes, then is left with 30 minutes at the end where they have to invent new problems.
Wait WHAT! I have to go back!
I hate most of these most of the time but I loved this one, absolute bananas

So Pokerface is part of the Knives Out universe, but it’s a TV show within the Knives Out universe.
Like Natasha Lyonne is a character in Glass Onion, playing Charlie on TV.
so Lohan is an actor in universe, starring in Falling for Xmas.

If anyone has kept up on connections to the Xmas Kingdoms in Netflix Christmas movies from the last 4 years, please let me know. 2024 seems to be hopping back on the lore train, but there are so many I haven’t seen.
Hot Frosty (highly recommend) is a Xmas Kingdoms movie, AND it establishes Falling for Xmas as a “Pokerface” in this cinematic universe.
Meanwhile The Merry Gentlemen (don’t recommend) ties in if you subscribe to the “Christmas Prince is a documentary” theory, originating in The Knight Before Xmas.
Having heard some rough-cuts of the show, the level of work @esterlellis.bsky.social puts into the @dungeonsanddads.bsky.social episode mixes is unbelievable. Been lucky enough to work a bit more closely with her for the last few months on the episode art and she’s truely worthy of MVP status 🙌🙌🙌
