It's a way to revert to the old ways. Cis men in power, all the rest of us silenced, dominated & in our place.
It's just re-imposing the toilet leash.
When public toilets were put in place they were for men only.

It depends on the location of panels in a city they heat it more, but can be offset. In a field it creates a heat trap, but can actually encourage biodiversity if managed. They do help in the long run as better than burning fuel.

It was the head who made the choice.
It's why they are closing, they are run by volunteers most who don't agree.
The separate group is a reformation of what was the WI in the area & inclusive.
Essentially the WI will be mostly closed down for being exclusionary. Big donors will keep some afloat.
It's looking like a lot of the WI's are closing, a lot of people resigned.
It'll probably be disjointed but inclusive replacements.
