The 2020-2021 market boom was truly the worst thing to happen to video games. A bunch of fair-weather investors swept up countless studios, then spent several years realizing you can’t “line goes up” art production and slowly gave up
if this is true, and it likely is, this is going to mean some really bad things for studios outside of China receiving or having received funding going forward.
