First place I visited in Celadon City was the Celadon Mansion, where you can find Eevee.

I always thought Eevee's gimmick was so cool, having multiple possibilities for its evolution depending on which stone you used.

TM30 - Teleport. Pokémon Generation 1 had some highly questionable choices for their TMs, and Teleport was certainly one of them. Teleport's only real use is as pseudo fast-travel to warp back to a Pokémon Center, which becomes obsolete once you obtain HM02 - Fly.

Lt. Surge, the Lightning American. He specializes in Electric-Type Pokémon, making him easy pickings if you visit Diglett's Cave and bag a Dugtrio. You can one-shot his whole team and he won't lay a finger on you if you use Dig.
