Remember Yachtgate - the original Mandelson scandal?

In 2008, he was caught on an oligarch's boat in Corfu. The Epstein files now reveal the full picture: a web of Russian money, paedophile kompromat and New Labour access that shaped a decade of British politics

β€œPeople need to hear a story like this now,” says Pinar Aksu. β€œWe don’t always have a victory at the end of our stories but hope is all we have got.” Great piece on what sounds like a terrific, massively timely film that gives the lie to the notion that most communities see newcomers as a threat.

Seriously @scottishbirding.bsky.social it’s 2026 and you are running a conference with nine speakers and they are all male!.

SBRC has nine current members and they are all male, has there ever been a female member since its formation in 1984?.

Yes exactly if you are running a commercial Fallow hunt you need enough of a herd to keep plenty of those expensive trophy stags. Those numbers don’t sit with the low densities needed to encourage woodland regen

Yep it was the chunky bill on the flight shot that set alarm bells ringing. It’s really thick at the base let alone at gonys. Mantle feathering has that cresote wash across feathers and strongly marked. Either a dinky pale Herring or Herring x white-winger would be my guess on those pics πŸ‘

Relying on the private sector to evolve a fit for purpose high speed charging network was never going to work!. ScotGov here put in 50kw charging network but needs them to do the same now with high speed, big gaps…

A not-completely-exhaustive illustration of our winter shorebirds, but these are the species that you’re most likely to see during winter around Teesmouth (northeast England).
