Ayyeee yooooo congrats man!!
Ayyeee yooooo congrats man!!
Me standing on some green and yellow concrete in a crowd of people. Location is on the outside of turn two at Albert Park
I forgot to post my (not so) quiet track picture after the Australian Grand Prix, so here it is; cc: @jeff-gluck.bsky.social
Btw, the kerbs were actually just jagged concrete, idk why but I expected them to be some form of special composite material?
Ahh that sucks! But it's definitely one of the burgers I've ever had
I actually had the Oscar Piastri burger the other week. I mean, it's just a burger - it was nice but it didn't wow me, but I don't particularly like Grill'd either so that maybe had something to do with it haha
A Toyota Supra Supercar looking menacingly at me through the legs of a ladder
A Toyota Supra Supercar can't hurt you ...
The Toyota Supra Supercar in question:
A crowd full of people underneath a sign that says "Australia, Melbourne, Australia"
I can attest to this - with ten laps to go, the queue to get onto the track was about 100 people deep on the outside of turn two. 45 minutes after the race was over, the front straight was still blocked and it felt like cattle being led on the death march
I feel it's copped a lot of unwarranted hate haha, it's beautiful
It really is haha
I just got a soft serve ice cream at the Grand Prix from the exact same guy who's van was on top of Mt Panorama at the Bathurst 12 Hour lololol
The Alpine looks like pink vomit ๐คฎ; the Aston Martin and Williams look much better in real life than they do in photos. The Ferrari red and white combo is so beautiful in person
The Audi is the most beautiful car on track, don't @ me haha. It looks so good in real life ๐
The trackside PA commentary keeps referring to him as Sir Lewis Hamilton, and I am absolutely all for it
The crowd at turn 10 went absolutely crazy when Leclerc took the lead off the start ... then subsequently groaned when Russell retook the lead lol
The whole park feels like a balloon has been popped, the energy feels so deflated around the track. The Australian home race curse continues (I'm still bitter about Ricciardo's DQ in 2014 ๐ค)
WHAT THE FUCK
EVERYONE IS STUNNED. IM ACTUALLY SHOCKED
130,000 people today at the Australian Grand Prix and I have seen precisely zero people wearing George Russell merchandise
McLaren has some pretty cool hats, but out of principle I just can't bring myself to buy one ๐
MotoGP team owner Guenther Steiner just drove past me in a golf cart and all the fans still absolutely adore him
A TAG Heuer watch display, with the logo on top of the clock and the F1 logo underneath
This watch display would absolutely be worth more than my annual salary ๐ฅด
Me sitting inside a Cadillac Lyriq at the Australian Grand Prix
Don't forget Cadillac trying to sell the behemoth that is the Lyriq SUV to race fans like me ๐
A Cadillac Formula One showcar on display
Umm yeah so I'm a Cadillac fan now ๐บ๐ธ
The groans and shock from the crowds in the fan area watching that mess were aplenty!
The McLaren LMDh hypercar behind some tall glass windows, hidden away from poor people like me
The McLaren LMDh hypercar looks incredible, particularly when painted in a faux Marlboro red and white livery ๐ฅ.
Unfortunately you need to be in a much higher tax bracket to get any closer to it than this lol
Not the track just suddenly nosediving into the lake ๐ญ
Two black swans swimming in a lake, with the city of Melbourne in the background
Bluesky, please allow me to introduce to you the swans of Albert Park Lake!
A yellow Toyota Land Cruiser, with an Oscar Piastri head taped to the passenger's seat
A beautiful BMW M car, and those round headlights ๐ฎโ๐จ
Some form of green Austin Healey Sprite - this car would legitimately be no more than 3 metres long, it's tiny
A Fiat 124 Sport, coloured in brown so when it inevitably blows up and leaks oil it camouflages with the rest of the car
Cars and Coffee pt. 2!
A slammed and lowered Mini Countryman (or is it a Clubman?)
An incredible Subaru Liberty with fading paint on the front bumper
An Alpine Renault A310 in an eye-catching blue
A Mustang GT V8 with some form of cool body kit on it
Let's see how the Cars and Coffee display at the Australian Grand Prix differs from the Bathurst 12 Hour: ๐
A Pickleball court in the foreground, a scaffolding viewing platform sponsored by Doritos in the background
Modern-day Formula One is seeing a Pickleball court next to a six-story high Doritos viewing platform overlooking a lake the drivers don't even know exists
Oh my Lorde these F3 cars are surprisingly loud af ๐ฅ
A KitKat and a Twirl ๐
