Dallas-based bookstore leading fight against Texas bill Dallas-based Half Price Books is leading the fight against a bill being considered in Austin. The bill would allow bookstores to be sued for selling or even displaying harmful material to minors.

A federal judge has halted Trump's attempt to eliminate the Institute of Museum and Library Services — the agency which provides federal funding to libraries and museums.
 
District court Judge John J. McConnell Jr. issued an injunction, stating that it violated the Administrative Procedure Act.

Really disappointing that librarians are the first to go, when in reality, they make a positive impact on literacy, digital citizenship and technology integration.
