Yeah I think that's it - Flegler said in his presser it was purely about adding a pace bowler, which was why Knott and others missed out, and he conceded Tess's numbers didn't necessarily back the selection but they're hoping this will help push her game forward

Good point.. I've found an ICC release that puts the cut off for world rankings as October 31, 2024, but can't see confirmation of who qualified at that time
I think there's a January 31 cut off date for the Championship ODIs to be completed by, but it's strange no schedule has been announced yet
I think initially boards were given a Feb 7(ish) start date for WPL - heard that as recently as the T20 WC - so think it was initially a much quicker turnaround post-Ashes
