I just heard Maj Gen Paul Eaton on MSNOW and in a 2-minute span, he said: Trump was malignant narcissist; Trump has developed dementia; many soldiers see him as a King without clothes; problem is, many wonder who is loyal to the Constitution and who to him.

I thought I was listening to me. :)

Maybe it's just me, but I believe if you're smart enough to recognize that you're someone who needs to join a personality cult for self-actualization, you should also be smart enough to choose a leader who hasn't punched a 13-yr old girl in the face after she bit his penis while he was raping her.

President Obama is speaking at the Rev Jesse Jackson's Memorial, and it is pure oratorial brilliance. Articulacy, humanity, caring emotion, perspective, life lessons, truth, and wit with modulation, technique, vocabulary, and love.

Trump has none of these things. Not even one.

The number of new enemies to America, many likely prone to radicalization, who will swear retribution against us, which sentiments will remain for decades to come, is countless.

AGAIN, he looks like absolute shit today. I don't know how close he is to the end, or to a point when he has to cede. I also can't say for sure how being close to the end impacts behavior. BUT malignant narcissists are their entire universe; they feel nothing continues without them.
THAT is scary.

Yes, I go into those details often and you're 100% correct that Epstein is THE primary issue that he is distracting from. That said, I was quoting Jen on this post, and she focused on his fear of losing electorally.

As someone who speaks to Trump's pathology and the urgency of us both understanding it and recognizing how it defines almost everything he says and does, I always look for - and am grateful for - signs that influential media voices see it too. It's just not discussed nearly enough. Jen gets it!

Kudos to @jenrubin.bsky.social for saying it in her Contrarian Substack: Trump took us to war with overwhelming public opposition, no congressional authorization, no public debate. If one were being honest, the “purpose” is to soothe the narcissistic rage of a president headed for a massive defeat.

There's been some messiness and confusion. But the numbers on the ground say turnout is huge.

Holy crap, look at those lines in Texas. And, this is in addition to huge early voting. And ... this is just the primaries!

A group of doctors and aides have apparently succeeded at propping Trump up for a live appearance, going on now. He looks terrible. Lumpy, ruddy, and wrinkly. Speaking in a subdued tone, mostly reading, with random halting staccato. He's having difficulty.
