One student brought a hand-tooled leather belt his grandpa had made for him as a 20th birthday gift.
Teaching college classes the week of Thanksgiving just seems non-viable now. But my students asked to have a potluck and share aesthetic objects that are meaningful to them (it's an aesthetics class), and about half showed up. I'm glad we had a space for those who wanted to gather.
