I’ve started a small commission series featuring my muscle-themed artworks, and this piece is the kickoff. I had so much fun interpreting Theo! Labradors are the cutest.
Only recently, but so far I’ve never felt more at ease anywhere than in the mountains :)

Oh yes. Merano (right next to it) lies in such a beautiful valley. I miss being able to step outside and immediately scramble up a mountain!

This was the view that opened up to me during dinner back then. I was so overwhelmed by the light, the colors, and the sense of calm that reigns in the Alps.
I could have sat there for hours, simply gazing into the distance.
If I’m not completely wiped out this afternoon, it might be time for some watercolor.
Watercolor was always my most hated drawing medium. You can’t control anything and the result is always a bit of a gamble.
But it’s exactly this kind of new thing that sparks creativity, right?
I‘ve often tried to put aside drawing furry themes, because only few people can/want to see any artistic value in them, and the norm simply doesn’t find them interesting. After all, it’s “not really proper art anyway.”
I’ve stopped caring about artistic value altogether. I draw what brings me joy.

My first drawing of 2026. The process was filled with so much joy in creating and reminded me that painting truly does you good when you work toward a composition and a feeling, rather than a deadline.
I’m Laura, a 33-year-old hobby artist from Germany, drawing with and for the Furry community since 2005.
I love striking, angular shapes, a sketch-like rendering, and landscape backgrounds.
