Some flaws (e.g., figure duplications) are easier to spot than others (low-quality calculations without "obvious" errors).
RSC Advances retracted several papers recently and a few more retractions happened. I didn't keep count, but maybe about 15?
Can anybody explain to me why #Wiley is doing such a notoriously poor job in typesetting articles?
Nowadays, you don't even get a PDF anymore, and 90% of the "corrections" mean reverting changes that the typesetters have made.

Needless to say that concerns raised on @pubpeer.com (not by me!) were instrumental to achieve these corrections of the scientific record.

Two more retractions have appeared for problematic papers published by Hitler Louis and associates. Journals are slow to respond, but at least some of them do the right thing eventually.

I was just made aware of this. Worst thing is that the cover and "reputable" publisher Springer give the first impression of a serious science book, while a closer look reveals that AI-generated text parts were used without any editing.

If I was a qualified candidate with no prior knowledge of German, I'd apply anyway and ask the commission how this could be implemented in real life. Most Germans know that German is not an easy language to learn and I suspect there may be some leeway.
