The latest analysis from @colorado.edu 's MeCCO shows a 14% decline in global media coverage of climate change & global warming in 2024-25.

Telling the 'climate story' has never been more important, but reaching audiences with relatable stories which make climate relevant to everyday life is key.

For those attending #OSM26 and working at the intersection of ocean science and policy, this is a timely reminder.

Risk communication is not just about presenting data. It is about meeting people where they are, grounding messages in values, and making participation possible.
