I just landed back in Melbourne after a wonderful week in the Gold Coast for the AWGSA conference, ‘Courageous Feminisms’. This was a special one as I was lucky enough to do the programming with the incredible A/Prof Kathomi Gatwiri who is AWGSA’s outgoing president and has left an incredible legacy
In the midst of marking season, I am getting so much joy from reading the reflective journals of my first-year gender studies students. They're full of big and small reckonings, loud and quiet activism. It gives me hope 🥹
