Utah Hockey Club announces Tij Iginla underwent hip surgery and will be out for the remainder of his season with the Kelowna Rockets.
The 18-year-old forward was on pace for a career season — 32 points (14g, 18a) in 21 games prior to injury.
Has had a less consistent/productive start to the season (like a lot of Utah's forwards). Also imagine it has to do with team USA GM view of lines/roster construction...how specific players will complement each other. That being said, I think he would fit (and contribute) to the team if chosen.
