Best thing I did was put a front dynamo on coupled with a modern LED light. I regularly ride along unlit roads and canal towpaths. Not having to worry about recharging batteries and having decent lights has been revolutionary.

Iβve done many home visits to my patients by bike. Much quicker in the traffic if within about 5 km
Can I borrow your watch if it does that please?π€£
Every best wish for a full and speedy recovery....
I have been able to download the programme. Many thanks for your help....
Got it. Very many thanks. Best wishes.
@hilli.tech Hi Wes. I listen every week to you and William - thanks for the podcast, always interested and entertaining. Just one thing is that I wonder if the CleanmyMac link in the show notes is correct please? It doesn't seem to work....thanks
Many congratulations to you both. Every best wish for the future.....
Very good Mikah. Your films are very helpful and informative
I like any bike but especially those are different including cargo bikes or trikes. My main bike is a Brompton and I also frequently use my Moulton.
Whilst I am for the use of EV's they simply "swap" one form of propulsion for another. They will make no difference to congestion or the encouragement for people to use active travel such as cycling or walking or use public transport. It is the latter we need, not the former esp for short journeys
Agreed. Many have become complacent about the diseases because they havenβt seen them. They havenβt seen them because vaccines are effective.
Just listened. Well done on discussing such a sensitive subject as self harm and suicide so well. Very clear and very professional. Tragic and terrible set of circumstances and so avoidable.
Excellent. I will listen
Iβve used an e Brompton to do home visits to my patients. Cheaper, faster and I got some exercise. Riding home along the country lanes was always wonderful
Excellent. Many congratulations
Thanks to you and William for the podcast. I listen every week - v good. Iβm pleased that the sound issues seem to be resolved. Previously William was quieter, but is better now. Iβve just put iOS 18.6 on my phone. I expect it to be slower after an upgrade. More than usual this time. Thanks.
Or the inevitable you can't carry [insert ridiculous item that we would not carry by bike anyway (mostly)], so I need to drive by car/van/ truck every single day....even if I rarely carry such an item! π

Agreed. Cycling is now my main method of transport for local journeys....
I listen to many of the TWiT podcasts and am a member. Many thanks to all who contribute and deliver the content.
I avoid Starbucks because I donβt like their coffee!
I use foam tips on mine and have done so for a couple of years. So much more comfortable and a better fit.
I own a Ford. Last time I looked it was a US based company. However I really do not want a large pickup truck as it wouldnβt fit, would be too expensive and drinks fuel. I cycle most of the time anyway!
I've been cycling to and from my family practice. Never mind the exercise, I watch the seasons go round and I see the wildlife. The best was having a Barn Owl fly alongside me for 100 m about 30 m to my right. It was an amazing sight and really made my day.
I rode to a fracture clinic appt. It gave my ankle some necessary physiotherapy and given the lack of car parking space at the hospital, was better for everyone else as well. Like many things, I appreciate that not everyone can do this, but many could.....

I used my electric Brompton yesterday. Rush hour traffic and it would have taken me 45 minutes + by car. Just over 15 minutes by bike. I arrived smiling having had fresh air, listened to the birds and some exercise. Whatβs not to like? PS thanks for your films
Measles is one of the most infectious diseases. Much more than flu or COVID. Iβve seen patients with measles. Itβs horrible and for some v serious. I recommend vaccination to my patients for these reasons.
A very clear response from London Fire Commissioner, Andy Rowe to a question at Fire Plenary last week from Emma Best AM about the impact of LTNs on fire brigade attendance times.
"We genuinely couldn't find any evidence of LTNs doing anything to our overall attendance times".
