We in the US are neither free nor brave, despite the anthem that is performed at sporting events. Brave people may be afraid to stand up for their freedom, but they do it because it is the right thing to do. Our institutions are failing us. Who can do something about it? Look in a mirror.

It appears that Americans are once again willing to adjust to the new normal. We know things are bad and getting worse. Oh, we may complain a bit, but we don't do what is necessary to change things. This has been and will be the cycle until enough people suffer enough to stand up and yell "Enough!"

The US government is at war with its own citizens, as well as other nations, at the behest of a convicted felon who raped children, and perhaps worse. The rich have openly seized control and are stealing everything in sight, making our lives worse. Fascism rules.

Higher wealth and corporate tax rates.

Large swaths of the US were already "third-world" for a long time. The rich have always been allowed, with the aid of their paid-for politicians and judiciary, to exploit the working poor. Trump and the Republicans are now accelerating a pre-existing process making the US unlivable for most.

The rule of law in the US is dead. It's up to the people to make change happen. But apparently not enough Americans are suffering enough to shake their complacency enough to get off their asses and start dragging our corrupt "leaders" through the streets. There is worse coming, more blood to spill.

I would venture to say that most US citizens were not taught the real history of their country, but were indoctrinated with a whitewashed version where we were the good guys (for the most part). We have never come to terms with our dark past, so we keep making the same mistakes repeatedly.

What's doubly stupid about the US military following Trump's illegal orders is that, after Trump gets them to do what he wants, he and his Republican cult will cut their VA benefits and let them die sick and hungry. That's how it feels to get grabbed by the pussy, and you're letting him do it.

The US military has conclusively proven that they will obey illegal orders and support fascism. They are fighting for Trump's freedom, not for ours. They are murdering innocent civilians so that a pedofelon can escape justice. I never want to hear about honor from the armed forces ever again.
