Extraordinary new work from Joan Naviyuk Kane. I always learn something from her poems, always. No matter how many times I read the lines. So dense, so intelligent, so kinetic.

The HIGH temp in Anchorage on Monday is forecast to be 9 degrees. Thousands of people remain displaced and you can still make a diff if you donate via bit.ly/help4wak
Understandable! Open invitation. Many Reed students will be in the crowd both Monday and Tuesday, wishing you all safe and COVID-less travels!!
John! Any chance you can fit a visit to my intro workshop at Reed next week between PDX shows? They have, among other things, written golden shovels that you would like!!! I think?!
To be fair, circumstances make me more exhausted by the American project than usual and in the words of my 15yo after my 11 parent-teacher-conference-morn b4 teaching yesterday I asked: βwas I at 11 and I should have been at 10?β 15yo said, βmom, you were at 11 and really you should have been at 16β
