And they're done! I'm so happy with how this turned out. I'm starting to feel a little more confident in being able to produce finished illustrations in traditional media, not just studies. 😊This is watercolor + gouache., with a little bit of color pencil and pastel for final touches.

I'm working on updating my shop today so I can hold a sale to maybe recoup some of the cost I sunk into ECCC 🫠

Second day of just drinking Better than Bouillon No Chicken straight from a mug but I am finally upright again! I do not recommend the flu

Everyone be nice to my friends and colleagues at ECCC and buy all of their stuff. Why support big business when you can become an art collector on the cheap? Artist Alley is where stars are on the rise.

I have had a long and weird journey with chronic pain & my mental health which is incidentally something I have been wanting to draw a comic about ha

PS when I say “physically ill” I mean every sensation in my body becomes painful and I withdraw because I just HURT everywhere - I’ve done enough therapy and PT to know that it’s psychosomatic and passes after the stressful event, but that doesn’t make it hurt less >:( it’s dumb

If it was a 3 day con I think I would be able to stomach it, it’s just too much for me as it is

I also would love to focus more on zines & short comics this year instead of prints so I can get into something like Short Run or SPX

I think this will probably be the last year (for a while at least) that I go to ECCC. The lead up to these giant fan conventions makes me physically ill with stress and I feel like I have a much better time at smaller cons like VanCAF and CALA!
