Trump Writes Netanyahu Strongly Worded Check
Always a wonderful morning reading an anti-Hegel paper. 🥰
My good friend Sam and I had a fun experience this weekend participating in our first debate tournament ever (Atlantic’s 2026). Suffice to say it went quite well!
Hat embroidered with “hello, i am fleeing the American century of humillation. Can you show me where to buy Mountain Dew Baja Blast?”
Also, it emphasizes what “human rights” actually are and the rule of law. Really great concepts being worked out by the writer!
The Darwin Incident is actually really good. I was concerned it would be a weird, obscure anime, but its messaging on animal rights and the perspective of non-human animals is very well done. I’ll keep watching the series and see if it remains decent. 100%recommend it to my anime friends, and vegans
Yup. I recently looked very stupid defending what I thought was the “Canadian spelling” of a word… Turns out I was defending the UK spelling and us Canadians chose to side with the US spelling…
It’s so nice that us Canadians just randomly pick and choose which spellings we want… /s
[The hopeful individual] might not be thought possible or might be regarded as sheer madness; but that is not so, because [they] certainly [do] not hope for something that does not have reality for [them], but [they] hope for something that [they] know cannot be realized.

God almighty. In ten years’ time there will genres of movies, memoirs and novels devoted to the gross cruelty of the Trump Regime, akin to those we now have of Germany in the 1930s. Intensely hoping it stops before we get to the 1940s.

This is real? 😵💫
Oh no.
To strive for knowledge is to strive for an accurate description of reality.
As have I, but like you, I find myself becoming more sympathetic by the day.
[The ideal] Philosopher king(s) would not be doing what the US/Canada are.
I really took my time with finishing the story.
Going back now to achievement farm.
But these are the games I love, it feels like I’m watching a movie/reading a book first, playing a well-designed game second.

Two options for how the Nova Scotia gov't could make PSE help the housing crisis:
1. Make all building trades programs tuition-free.
2. Make every academic dep't in the province write a report explaining how its curriculum prepared students for the building trades.
Guess which one we're doing?
The final Calvin and Hobbes, which appeared in papers 30 years ago today.

Big fan of this squid. Just wish he showed up more than once a year.
Got a wonderful gift from my parents for my birthday! Kirmmse’s introduction is quite good! 😊
Attending classes on my birthday? Couldn’t ask for a better thing to be doing! 🥰
A highly educated society is a better society. Everyone with the desire & ability should be able to go to university. Individuals & society benefit, whatever the subject, so education costs should be subsidised. Public research is a common good. That, apparently, is a controversial take.
Just did a lecture today for a first year class, and at the end I had some extra time at the end to advocate for pursuing philosophy as a major/minor. Had two students come up to me after class telling me that they are considering now 🥹. Feels nice knowing that you’ve gotten other people interested.
I plan to write a series in my schools student journal. The series is going to cover different concentrations in philosophy, with the goal of getting first/second year students interested in studying philosophy (generally).
Any suggestions for (broader) topics to write about are much appreciated!
