I’ve been really trying to read more in the past few years, and I’m so proud of myself for reading 7 books just in the month of January!! I’m almost halfway to my (modest) 2026 reading goal of 18 books, let’s gooooo.

Anyway, all this to say that breakfast is some watermelon sherbet that mysteriously got lost in the transition.

Got a chest freezer on FB marketplace, cleaned it, and tested it overnight. Happy to report that it was $60 well spent - she’s working beautifully.

Took some time this morning rearranging and moving frozen goods from the main freezer to the chest in the garage, and the freed up space is soooo nice.

Added bonus: Putting away the sorted clothes doesn’t seem as overwhelming the next time you look at the piles. It’s just a pile of shorts and/or pants, and I just fold those onto a shelf. I’m just tidying up at this point…

Note: I’m NOT saying “fold and put away your laundry as you go,” that’s daunting and I’m obviously not gonna do it.

But I noticed that if I sort my clothes into smaller piles of t-shirts, underwear, etc. while digging around then I’m setting myself up for an easier search next time.

Unmotivated to put away your clean clothes that’re in piles or baskets?

Here’s a life hack: Get really fixated on wearing a specific shirt/outfit that you know is in those piles and sort as you search.

Normally I would move around the mess to find said item, but sorting takes only a bit more time
