(5/5) Huge thanks to @hadleyssmith.bsky.social and to everyone I met for making my visit so productive and memorable. I’m looking forward to carrying this momentum into the next phase of my research!
(4/5) Beyond the academic side of things, I was sure to make the most of my first trip to Boston including exploring the city and catching a Red Sox game at Fenway Park!
(3/5) I was also thrilled to have an opportunity to present my research to the Precision Medicine Translational Research Center (PROMoTeR), and to meet with leading researchers at Harvard, Tufts, the Broad Institute, and Boston Children’s Hospital, whose work has directly informed my own.
(2/5) @hadleyssmith.bsky.social and colleagues' model of perceived utility of genomic sequencing has been foundational to my research on measuring patient- and caregiver-reported outcomes from #genomesequencing for #raredisease diagnosis within a #healtheconomics context.
(1/5) I recently returned from a 1-month research visit at the @deptpopmed.bsky.social within @harvardmed.bsky.social, generously hosted by @hadleyssmith.bsky.social and her team. This visit was an exciting opportunity to build on our collaboration and to advance core components of my PhD.
(2/2) It was a great experience to share my research and to meet others who are passionate about tackling some really complex questions in #HEOR. Thanks to everyone who stopped by my poster for a chat! You can also view my poster here: bit.ly/Sansom_PCR42...
(1/2) I spent last week in Montreal at #ISPORAnnual where I presented my poster titled: “Measuring Patient- and Carer-Reported Outcomes Following #GenomeSequencing for #RareDiseaseDiagnosis: A Psychometric Assessment of Outcome Measurement Instruments”. #ISPOR @herc-oxford.bsky.social
I’ll be standing by my poster at #ISPORAnnual from 12:30-1:30pm today and would love to chat all things #genomics, #raredisease, #patientoutcomes, #caregiveroutcomes and #psychometrics!
We have two vacancies for Junior Research Fellows to join the CPM team next academic year. Please repost and send to anyone who might be interested. shorturl.at/DOV5s
Excited to share that I’ll be presenting my PhD work at ISPOR in Montreal! My poster on patient- and carer-reported outcomes from #genomesequencing is in Poster Session 1 from 10:30am-1:30pm 14 May (discussion period: 12:30-1:30pm). Hope to see you there! #ISPORAnnual #HEOR #RareDiseases #Genomics
It's not too late to sign up to attend this fascinating event, a week today:
We are delighted to be hosting an evening of talks about the discovery of ReNU syndrome, at 17:30 on Tuesday 29th April at St Anne's College. Further information, and registration details can be found here: cpm.ox.ac.uk/event/the-di...
We hope to see you there!
(1/4) Attention Early Career Researchers (ECRs)! We are still collecting expressions of interest for our ECR ‘Preprint Club’ series for 2025. #IHEA #healtheconomics #genomics #precisionmedicine
Had a great day on Tuesday reflecting on evolving #NewbornScreening and the opportunities and challenges it brings. Also on a #Risk&Prevention theme, our @cpmoxford.bsky.social podcast episode with Dr Malte Gerhold from @healthfoundation.bsky.social is now online!: podcasts.ox.ac.uk/series-3-epi...
Reflecting on the recent @cpmoxford.bsky.social 'Making Progress with #NewbornScreening' conference: An insightful day exploring the scientific, health economics, policy, and ethical dimensions of expanding newborn screening for rare diseases! #PersonalisedMedicine @cambup-lifesci.bsky.social
Thrilled to have had an opportunity to share some insights from my PhD at the #EuroQol UK & Ireland meeting! Had a great time discussing how best to measure patient and carer impacts from #genomesequencing for #raredisease diagnosis in economic evaluations! #healtheconomics #healthoutcomes #PROMs
