NZ wastewater COVID19 surveillance dashboard update. poops.nz The levels detected are relatively low and there is a mixed bag of variants tracked and reported, including the first detection of BA.3.2 in NZ (albeit just in one sample a few weeks ago & hasnβt been detected since.

Due to the timing of the Christmas and New Year holidays etc, many sites had only one collection a week, including the Wellington ones, so some caution in interpretation is required. Much prefer it when we can test two per week.

We need to make changes to the dashboard yet so sorry if itβs confusing at the moment. Btw- we worked especially hard last week to get the variant sequencing done on last weeks samples along with the previous weeks, so that they could be reported this week.

poops.nz Updated dashboard -New Zealand wastewater COVID-19 surveillance. Week ending 7 July. Nationally, levels decreased again. Levels at most of 25 sites tested are less than 4 weeks ago. Variant analysis on up to 20 sites show that KP.3 is at 65% nationally by week ending 30 June.
