I asked my socials if there was any reason why I couldn’t move my birthday month from this cold January to a nicer, friendlier month. We all agreed there wasn’t.

My favourite thing about being a book lover is when you discover a new-to-you author and it feels like being a teenager with a crush.
No one has *ever* loved said new author like you. No one appreciates them like you. You don’t even *see* any other authors! 😂

Hey Amanda! This House unpacks identity, faith, womanhood and – above all – agency, in poems partly inspired by the Black, mostly African, women that raised me. It’s an ode to their strength, their stories and their ability to hold, sustain, and be rooted in their faith.
