without the financial aid iβd honestly be unable to do itβ but thereβs also certification programs if you want to go straight into history work too!! public history or museum studies are generally those kinds of certificates!!
YEAH it was more like additional payments for the TA workβ it was more money than iβve ever made part-time (about $550/week) but it varies from program to program; kids in the arch program told me they get $250/week but my director said he refuses to admit kids if they didnβt get that much at least
2) for masters thereβs a form of financial aid where they pay YOU for the degree (assistanceships)
IF U LIVE IN AMERICA THAT ISβ when i did my masters i got it and in return for TAβing for my professors i got my tuition covered AND a pretty hefty βallowanceβ from my uni! itβs fulfilling if u can!!

1) being a student opens up a TON of opportunities for internships at historic sites/museums
theres a lot of really good ones only for undergrads especially that im extremely jealous i didnt do
