I did an event in DC & there was a party for donors etc after. Was talking to 2 ppl & I said "Things are so bad." They said "No this is how it is. Things swing one way, then another. It's normal."
That's when I realized why Dems are toothless. They have no idea what this is. Frogs boiling in water.
And it's @drewmagary.bsky.social from the top rope:

"A vote for this bill was a vote to close U.S. factories and concede manufacturing jobs of the most important energy resource of the 21st century to China."

Revenge of the Sith is kind of funny in a meta sense now because grown adults look at focus group tested slop and are like βthis shit is too political, unlike the movies of my childhood where Darth Vader choked his wife then looked at the camera and directly quoted George W. Bush.β
All due respect and understanding this is just a man making a joke, Liquid Death is a preferred drink of recovering alcoholics.
If holding a black can with a sick skull on it that resembles beer packaging keeps you on your program, Iβm all for it.
one thing that Democratic politicians should take note of is that the overlap between βgreat political opticsβ and βactual morally good stuffβ is really big right now
if we replaced the entire Democratic Party with about 40 people who have ever had a real job we would have a better shot at keeping the right wing from destroying the country

All of our money is gone and weβre in a trade war, I hope this video brings you a tiny bit of joy today
The ACA directly benefitted me. I wouldnβt have been insured for most of my 20s without it.
Still grateful for it and many similar Obama-era policies we have taken for granted until now.
Also β @barackobama.bsky.social is now on Bluesky π
If I were MacKenzie Scott, I would simply start a newspaper based in Washington DC.
Livid. Cannot fathom a world where Republicans, who regularly fly commercial with their families, are not revolting internally over this decision.
Will one of you cowards stand up to this madness before someone you love dies??
every single republican in office is a fucking oathbreaker who is selling out the constitution and our democratic birthright
Reliance on these talking points informed by polling is the result of not being amongst or even related to any regular people.
They are clueless as to how Americans outside of their own enclaves think, and are too nervous and jittery to take a risk (see how quick they muzzled Walz last year).
IRA was the single biggest investment to combat climate change in US history, AND it helped lessen inflation.
Iβm all for taking Dems to task for their obvious failures in messaging (you are living proof that they did not communicate their successes) but please be serious.
It feels like this is the week that every warning Iβve read about in a theoretical sense for the past 10 years all became a reality at once.
Today on bluesky I learn that it was "propaganda" that the Soviet Union had trouble delivering consumer goods to its citzens and that store shelves there were sometimes empty.
My "gas leaks everywhere" theory of politics is looking more and more unstoppable.

No matter what side you were on in the Philly arena fight, you have to be feeling duped today.
If you supported it - sorry, itβs not happening, & you probably spent social/political capital for that opinion for nothing.
Everyone else: we now know for sure weβre just pawns in a billionairesβ game.
Horrifying. Idk even what to do. Stop using their platforms? Weβd lose a valuable info-sharing, community-building and organizing space.
We are really fucked here. Stay vigilant and use those community notes if youβre sticking with FB & Insta.
Said it before but now that it's Jan 6 I'll say it again: The violent attack at the Capitol was done by rich people, the modern landed gentry, the people who could afford to travel and book fancy hotels to plot a violent attack. It wasn't hicks. It was rich people doing crime.
As the internet is getting smaller & less democratized due to corporate takeover, companies propel their engagement w/ bots to make their platforms look popular to advertisers. Real people canβt find real info or connect with each other. (TLDR: the internet sucks now)

They have US dates too now!
I have a lot of friends posting their goals or their predictions for the new year, but I donβt have goals, only feelings:
Male R&B is weak enough right now that weβre going back into the archives for mediocre stuff just to hear something new?
The ladies really own this moment. Weβre a long way from Usher, Maxwell, Ne-yo and even Robin in their prime.
