Followed the lot! Thanks for that :-) I have a very (36+hrs) long trip coming up; any suggestions of good sources for information about protecting myself when I inevitably need to eat/drink on the planes? Google results are v. dodgy and you seem to have the best overview of current info around!

Lovely though that thought is (and thank you for the kind words!) I think the days of streaming are largely gone for now, except perhaps in the biggest theatres.

Just two performances remaining of β€˜Tristan und Isolde’ at Theater Regensburg

Very, VERY easy to get lost in the Tiergarten πŸ˜‚ I’ve more than once thought I ought to be leaving a trail, HΓ€nsel und Gretel-style, when venturing into the interior…

Lucky you! It’s a lovely corner of the city

The clouds lifted this afternoon, just long enough for a crisp autumnal walk in one of Berlin’s beautiful parks

That’s my plan for now as well. There are still some people in the other place who don’t have a presence anywhere else but whose contributions I really value, plus I suspect it’s now even more important not to get too insulated from other points of view.

Can confirm that a childhood friend of mine who grew up to play Lock at international level was indeed a baritone! Can’t help with the scrum half tenor though, I’m afraid.

Once upon a time! The side benefit of having future-Wagnerian lungs in an all-girls school πŸ˜‚

I learned tuba from a bass trombonist… you have my empathy. Toi Toi Toi!

Can only speak for myself, but there is a definite need for new orchestral songs! Especially if they set Rossetti 😍

Something in my house resonates between an E and E flat at the top of the stave and something else resonates on A flat above that… Working on the riddle scene is proving highly amusing, if not slightly discombobulating πŸ˜‚ #sopranoproblems

You are a gem! Thank you - gradually locating most of the accounts I most treasure in the other place.

All of those decaying CofE churches and vicarages aren’t exactly going to enhance the Vatican’s property portfolio…

Agreed - tried threads, and found it a bit limp.

Gradually working this out - here for blue skies and civilised discussions! Looking for opera people, international affairs wonks and commentators, medicine/science, literary/historical content in EN, IT, FR, DE
