A destroyed landscape. Miss it painfully.
Loved getting to work on this exhibit about the future of Toronto parks with Park People. It’s up for two months at the Urbanspace Gallery & the feedback will help inform their parks platform for the upcoming municipal election.

The above project was conceived for this region in the south post-Israeli occupation in 2000.
The week is so heavy.
Once again, we’re here ⬇️

Israeli army just ordered all of Dahiyeh residents to evacuate. Yesterday the entire south, now all of Dahiyeh (Beirut's southern suburbs).
Still have yet to see comments on proportionality from the international community. Macron asked Israel not to launch ground invasion but seems too late
I am not saying this to be spicy or whatever
Do something today

Mapped the evacuation orders issued by the Israeli army in south Lebanon over the past two days. The March 03 order marks a significant expansion beyond the immediate border towns and well beyond the Litani River. I counted 105 villages so far.
Highly recommend Elia’s class ⬇️
As part of the Lebanese diaspora, these discussions especially helped me contextualize personal narratives and filters through which I connect to the country. But I also recommend for anyone looking to navigate and understand Lebanon’s recent history from an expert.
"Foreign-born Citizens" are actually just called citizens.
"Foreign-born voters" are just called voters
"non-citizen voters" (yes, this is a thing here in 🇬🇧) are just voters.
The Lebanese government has just issued a directive “banning” Hezbollah and criminalizing its members, granting authority to the army to go after them. And just like that, from Israeli war to potential civil war in the span of less than 12 hours
The Lebanese packing up leaving, is reminiscent of what many of these people have done their entire lives
Yes, a real harbinger of spring sound!
Poster for a show by John Kameel Farah “songs of liberation”. On Saturday, March 21, at 8pm, at Old St Paul’s Episcopalian Church in Edinburgh.
Edinburgh folk, I highly recommend this - saw John perform last summer in the Toronto Music Garden and it was special.

Thr new progress pride flag is pinned up in the window. Written in chalk elsewhere on the wall is Lighthouse Book's famous "LOOK AFTER EACH OTHER".
Then I visited the wonderful folk at @lighthousebks.bsky.social.
This is an incredibly important bookshop in Edinburgh, dedicated to championing marginalised voices, environmentalism, antiracism, and the queer community.
