That myth assumes protest votes were larger than the voters a policy pivot would lose. Support for Israel remains strong among moderates and older voters. A pivot risked losing way more voters than it would have gained.

There isn't 1 state that had a different outcome than 2020 because of Black voters.
In both 2020 & 2024, just under 90% voted Democrat & while turnout was lower overall, Black voter turnout increased by 1.5M.
