Another album that just showed up today is the reissue of The Smashing Pumpkins 5th album, Machina / The Machines Of God.
I’ve grown to like it over the years and it has some really good moments, but it’s probably my least favorite out of the first 5.

Since I finally have a copy of Better Than Ezra’s debut album, I went ahead and picked up their second album, Friction, Baby.

I missed this one during RSD last year, so I’m glad that @realgonemusic gave it another pressing last week. Deluxe got a lot of play at the record store I worked at in the 90’s, so I’ve always had a soft spot for Better Than Ezra.

My 12 hour workday ended with my 28th Meet the Teacher night. It was a really long day, but a pretty good one too.

Now I’m exhausted, wishing I was tired enough to go to sleep and listening to Jellyfish. There are worse ways to spend an evening.

I thought I was done with RSD25, but I couldn’t pass up a copy of The Jayhawks - Blue Earth that I came across last week. There’s just something extremely soothing in the Louris/Olson harmonies and that exactly what I need tonight.

Another record I found on my Missouri trip this summer. A great quality live album from The Slits recorded live at the Gibus Club in Paris on 26 January, 1978. The sound quality really is fantastic.

I’ve wanted this album for so long and I’ve never been able to find it on CD or LP. Luckily, it was just reissued on colored vinyl for its 45th anniversary. So now I get to spend part of my Saturday night with this classic.
