We were lucky enough to have @davewhitaker.bsky.social deliver our inset. The Kindness Principles just make sense. Unconditional positive regard, the words I've been searching for to frame our culture around managing behaviour. Today ripples of change, tomorrow waves. Every educator needs this!
Some brilliant and lesser known alternatives to Rose Blanche. #EduSky #KidLit Thanks @smithsmm.bsky.social
Thank you for drawing our attention to these. I am definitely going to adapt my plans to incorporate these. I have just read Code Name Kingfisher, which dovetails beautifully with Nicky and Vera and even more so Hidden Hope. Fantastic shares. β¨οΈ
My class would be over the moon. :) How's about yours? @laurenking29.bsky.social @y6teach.bsky.social @teachwithcam.bsky.social @cassht.bsky.social

I am a huge fan of Lights on Cotton Rock by David Litchfield. Read with the pages up on the smartboard, with the lights down - makes for an absolutely mesmerising read.
Wow, this is brilliant.

Graphic novels are continuing to grow in popularity with children. If you've not seen it before, Richard Ruddick's Padlet is an absolute goldmine for recommendations. Do take a look (but it might get expensive). #Edusky padlet.com/rruddick9zra...
I agree. Most are soooo relaxing and just hit the spot.
I have finally pre-ordered Turtle Moon @hannahgold.bsky.social If her other work is anything to go by and the pre-release reviews, I am in for a treat. π₯° #Kidlit #readingforpleasure Roll on 26th September πβ¨οΈ

For anyone in Y4-6 using the NCETM PD materials in maths - across the last few years, Iβve adapted the PPTs and made matching worksheets for a lot of the teaching points. Hopefully youβll find something useful there! #eduskyprimary
