The picture shows a close-up of a charming, weathered old window set into a thick, sunlit yellow wall. The wall has a warm, golden-yellow ochre color with a rough, uneven plaster texture — small cracks, subtle bumps, and patches of wear give it a lovely aged character. The window itself is a tall, rectangular wooden frame painted in a deep, rich dark brown — almost chocolate-colored. At the top it has traditional small square panes arranged in a grid: five across and two down, making ten little glass sections in total. A processed black and white photo to give it a dark sepia tone with high contrast for a gritty effect. We're looking at the brick wall of a building and a large window that dominates this portrait orientation view. The window is a tall rectangle of nine rectangular panes arranged in a grid of three by three, topped off with a Romanesque arch of four panes fanning out. The window is flanked by two thick square columns of concrete set into the brickwork and a ridged arch of stone follows the contours of the arch of the window and is itself bordered by two curved rows of square bricks in alternating light and dark shades to give an offset chequerboard rainbow effect. The window panes are black, covered from the inside by a sheet on which there is a Baphomet head within an inverted pentagram and occult symbols. A small sign in the bottom middle pane of glass reads "Bristol's Real Ale & Metal Pub".
For #FensterFreitag and from a visit to the West Country 15 years ago here's a window to "Bristol's Real Ale & Metal Pub", The Gryphon. The only bad thing about it was that it wasn't open when we passed by because it sounded like our sort of place.
