Assuming a Democrat ever holds office again, there need to be very public hearings and trials at all levels of the system that perpetrated these atrocities. There is no “let’s move on and focus on healing”
I think it’s been pretty widely understood that Pittsburgh was never gonna trade Guentzel to the Rangers, no? And my understanding is that it was kakko/Cuylle that they were reluctant to include?
Either way there’s no sense in relitigating that deadline.

I’m good with any and all waiver claims by the Rangers, there’s no harm in trying those as dart throws. Kartye isn’t a complete trainwreck, but Vincent Iorio, my goodness does he stink. Just zero clue how to handle the physical aspect of the modern game which, at his size, is almost inexplicable.
Can’t look at it that way, imo. Trades don’t happen in a vacuum and the Rangers need to nail this trade - specifically, Drury needs to nail it to keep his job. If the perception is that he caved to Guerin, he’s done.
