It really *is* all that. And more. I’m obsessed. And I’m fairly certain I’m having more fun with it than I was in the first days of Animal Crossing back in 2020.
Well. I feel like now I can finally announce:
I’ve been accepted into an Alternative Certification program to become an elementary teacher. I’ll be teaching in the classroom by August.
My life is about to fundamentally change and I’m so excited. 🥹

This is an excellent analogy, because my recollection from grade school is that the pen on the right looks fun and exciting, and then you play with it for a few minutes and realize it's not actually useful for anything and in fact makes some tasks more cumbersome, and never think about it again.

I actually started and I’ve read 2 already this year. And I’m well into 2 more (because I’m a sick freak who reads more than one book at a time).
The immediate, hysterical improvement to my mental health is crazy.
Replace doomscrolling/brain rotting with reading. Your brain will thank you.

In recent years, I was reading upwards of 50 books a year. Due to massive changes in my life and anxiety (and most likely depression lol) that came with those changes, over the past 2-3 years I’ve read like..25..?
Gonna change that this year.

Lolol an attempt at getting out of these woods unscathed/without getting lost. We each had to roll some sort of check and we could only have 3 fails. Since he had advantage and since it was 2 crit fails, it counted as 2 failures 🥲😂
